American Civil Constructor, located in Benicia California is looking for an experienced, motivated Estimator with a background in Heavy Civil Marine work to join our team.

Qualifications:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills within all levels of personnel.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

Strong project and time management skills.

Exceptional math skills to include drafting and blueprint reading.

Knowledge of employment and contract law, insurance and bonding as it relates to construction costs.

Advanced computer skills – HCSS Heavy Bid experience a plus.

5 + years experience/background in Heavy Civil Marine construction, design, finance and management.

Project management and/or project engineering experience a plus.

#1 Qualification: Must have working knowledge of how to build work.

Senior Staff Accountant - Lakewood Co.

This is a Full-Time, Exempt position.  This position will participate in a wide variety of functions generically bundled under the heading of accounting.  The Senior Staff Accountant will assist the CFO and Controller with the monthly close cycle, annual company financial audit, sales and use tax audits, property tax audits, developing and maintaining procedures and documentation of those procedures, maintain the integrity of the company’s financial statements, and assist in responding to inquiries from our “customers”.  Will report to the Corporate Controller.

Qualifications

Pleasant demeanor, detail oriented, willingness to drill into the minutiae, ability to maintain multiple ongoing projects simultaneously.  Computer literacy and expertise utilizing MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint (helpful), Outlook, etc) required.  JD Edwards experience preferred.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.  Experience in a construction environment preferred.

Experience

Five to seven years of progressive general accounting experience.  Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.  Must be able to tailor delivery style to fit the needs of the audience.  Must demonstrate critical and analytical thinking skills and evidence a strong proclivity to interpret and analyze data.   The ability to devise and implement corrective strategies following issue identification is also necessary.  Must have solid working knowledge of basic GAAP accounting principles

American Civil Constructors is seeking a dynamic, energetic team player. The individual we choose will be comfortable with a variety of general accounting duties, including bank reconciliations, G/L account reconciliations, balancing sub ledgers and garnishments, etc.

Requirements for this position are at least 3 years or more experience in general accounting, a mastery of Excel and 10 key by touch. JD Edwards experience a plus.

PICK-UP TRUCK MECHANIC – DIV 201

ACC is seeking a motivated team player for the position of Pick-up truck mechanic. This Position will be responsible for general maintenance and safety of vehicles, to include trucks, trailers, and attached equipment such as snowplows and spray units. This position will perform the tasks required to maintain and repair the mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components of the various types and pieces of equipment used by A.C.C. Will perform the preventative maintenance tasks and required equipment repairs, and conduct inspections of each piece of equipment being repaired.

  • Knowledge of proper equipment maintenance and repair
  • Knowledge of shop safety practices
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of diesel and gasoline engine repair
  • Knowledge of diesel and gasoline brake systems, drive line, and electrical systems
  • Must be able to maintain work load with little supervision
  • Must possess own hand tools
  • Must have a valid drivers License and meet ACC guidelines for driver eligibility
  • Prior Experience is necessary
  • Certification and formal automotive training a plus (i.e. ASE Certification)

American Civil Constructor, located in Irving Texas is looking for 2 qualified individuals that will be responsible for assisting in formulating marketing strategies and executing those strategies as directed. Our new Business Development Representatives will primarily be responsible for the identification and development of new clients/projects that match the ACC business plan and growth of sales with existing clients.  ACC BDR's coordinate as needed with other individuals within the regional and local marketing group as well as all operational team members.

Specific Job Duties Include:

Generate revenue through targeted contacts and qualified leads. Leads will be generated through organizational affiliations, existing customer base and contacts, cold calls etc. Focus on winnable projects and clients.

Promote strong relationships with developers, architects, engineers, government agencies, trade associations, relevant business professionals and other similar groups and individuals.

Generate bid packages and winning proposals for potential clients, working with team managers and members as necessary.

Assist the operations team in maintaining and monitoring existing customer base to ensure customer satisfaction.

Manage the budgeted account for marketing materials, entertainment, events, trade shows, association dues etc.

Maintain a strong influence through active association membership in trade and other organizations.

Reporting as required to team managers, area managers, regional managers and directors to inform and be informed.

Assist in submission for industry awards and recognition as needed.

Actively participate in the strategic planning process.

Work as a productive team member not only within the landscape teams, but the region as well.

Maintain "sales pipeline" information.

Maintain customer database.
